El Rollo logo

El Rollo puts surf music through the blender, turns up the heat and serves up a scorching guitar soaked take (with a slight twist of swamp and psychedelia) on one of rock’s most loveable genres. El Rollo’s music is fresh, vibrant, punchy and amazingly danceable.

El Rollo are:

Sara Beale – saxophones – attended The University of Melbourne completing a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Teaching and a Master of Music majoring in Performance. Sara has performed at the World Saxophone Congress in the U.S.A. She has recently performed with The Melbourne Saxophone Ensemble, Orchestra Victoria, CSQ and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Mark Finsterer – guitar – composer, teacher jazz performer who has written for film, theatre, art installations and studied composition with Maestro Franco Donatoni in Sienna, Italy

Gazza Charles – drums – a strong background in blues including with the Blues Sheiks and Oozin’ Blues and more recently with the Van Morrison Tribute band.

Ross Farnell – bass – member of Beargarden, a much-loved 80s indie pop band that had meteoric success and an equally spectacular implosion. Ross has since played in bands fronted by Brian Mannix, Mick Pealing and Tottie Goldsmith

Doc White – guitar, vocals –  award-winning songwriter, composer and actor was a mostly solo blues artist plying his trade around the country for nearly 40 years until the call of surf sounds could no longer be ignored.
